Seafarer Assistance is a bespoke emotional support service for the maritime industry operated by the International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN), the international NGO and charity based in London, UK that promotes the welfare of seafarers worldwide.

All profits fund ISWAN's charitable work in support of seafarers and their families worldwide.

ISWAN provides helpline and other services to shipping, ship management companies, and other organisations. For further information, please email info@seafarerassistance.org.

Our service is strictly confidential; your situation will not be discussed or shared with anyone outside of the Seafarer Assistance team without your prior and explicit approval. However, if you advise us that you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, we reserve the right to break confidentiality in order to try and involve others who might be able to prevent injury to persons or danger to vessels. We do not record any telephone calls to or from our helpline.
